I am writing to let you know that HMRC Customs Policy & Strategy (CPS) has established a new process for managing all queries and requests linked to the customs requirements for UK hosting of international events. This is to ensure a more consistent, transparent and efficient handling of requests, avoiding duplications.

They now have a single central entry point mailbox for these queries:  [email protected]

This mailbox should be used for:

• all queries relating to the customs requirements for bringing goods into or out of the country in the context of hosting an international event

• any high-profile or cross-cutting customs issues linked to major events

In addition, they have developed an International Events Technical Handbook International events – Guidance – GOV.UK, which consolidates relevant customs processes, policy positions and guidance to support those involved in delivering international events.
