This catalogue highlights festivals’ experiences and local governments’ policies when it comes to environmental sustainability.
The 2024 BAFA Conference workshop with Julie’s Bicycle discussed a range of idea, including developing a model for safe car sharing for festival attendees. There are many festivals already adopting this model and partnering with dedicated platforms to support their attendees’ travel in this way. This may be especially beneficial for festivals located in rural locations where the availability of public transport options are limited.
