Cheltenham Science Festival

2 to 7 June 2020

Cheltenham Science Festival brings together people of all ages who are curious about the wonders of the everyday world, the mysteries of the universe and cutting-edge technology.

The tented Festival village hosts hundreds of free family-friendly activities, while the UK’s science community gathers to share their latest ideas in thought-provoking and entertaining ways.

‘Be The Change’ is the theme for this year’s Festival. Over 300 scientists, thinkers, writers and young activists will explore major issues facing the world today and seek the common ground between passion and reason.

Cheltenham Science Festival is a six-day celebration of science, engineering and the arts. It has firmly been established as an essential date in the UK science community’s calendar, bringing together leading scientists with people of all ages to its unique Festival village. It hosts an international science communication competition, FameLab, which attracts finalists from over 30 countries. Cheltenham Science Festival is part of Cheltenham Festivals, a charity which creates world-class cultural festivals and year-round accessible talent development, outreach and education programmes. Over 225,000 visitors a year are inspired by its Literature, Science, Jazz and Music Festivals.
