Southwold Arts Festival, established in 2014, is run by volunteers and is a charity (CIO 1161134). The Festival is an eight day celebration of the arts with talks every morning, Young Musicians performing each lunch time and our evening performances comprise concerts, plays, poetry and literary events. Open Studios mount exhibitions by local artists over the first weekend. A Street Festival, a free event, is held on 21^st June where shops and restaurants spill out onto the High Street alongside, arts and crafts, food and charitable stalls. Children take part in a fancy-dress parade to the marketplace where music, dance and groups perform.
