Rhondda Arts Festival is an arts festival based in Treorchy and throughout the Rhondda valleys. The core festival is held annually in June primarily at the local playing fields, complemented by a series of venue-based events during the Autumn. The festival’s vision is to bring the community together and increase its knowledge and understanding of art in all its forms, led by predominantly local artists. Previous features of festivals have included: local bands, storytelling, theatre, comedy, interviews, galleries, circus skills, and so much more.
The festival is delivered collaboratively with the local community, drawing inspiration from our people and their stories. It is curated inclusively, to ensure everyone can access exciting, new experiences that are not readily available in our local area. We connect people artistically with the valley they call home, encourage participation, increase pride, and draw people into the area to experience its culture at a quality experience.
