Cornwall Film Festival is the largest film festival in the South West of England, presenting a distinctive programme of films and events from Cornwall, the UK and across the world. Taking place each November, the festival showcases new work by emerging filmmakers alongside films from internationally recognised directors, welcoming over 3,500 audience members each year.
Rooted in place but outward-looking, the festival is known for its strong curatorial vision, engaged audiences and commitment to access. Screenings are accompanied by filmmaker Q&As, talks and special events, creating an inclusive meeting point for audiences, creatives and industry professionals. A dedicated education and talent-development strand supports young people, early-career filmmakers and aspiring critics through workshops, mentoring and skills-building opportunities.
The festival is delivered by Mor Media, a charity working year-round to widen access to film, digital culture and creative skills across Cornwall and the South West. Cornwall Film Festival is proudly supported by its patron, Mike Leigh, and plays a vital role in bringing internationally significant cinema to local screens while contributing to the wider UK film ecology.
