2017 will mark the 45th year of the Aberdeen International Youth Festival, which is considered to be one of the cultural highlights of the summer in Aberdeen and the North-east of Scotland. This year's festival will include groups from Ghana, Holland, China, the USA, Norway and many more.
AIYF reaches communities in Aberdeenshire, Angus and Moray through the Extended Festival programme where there will be a number of performances that will take place in local venues such as churches and community halls, making it more accessible to those who live outwith Aberdeen.
In 2017, AIYF will produce over 60 performances across nine days as well as partnering with Aberdeen Mela to produce a major free multi-cultural outdoor event and activity in the city. AIYF provides the North-East with high quality, inspiring entertainment and creates one of the biggest multi arts youth festivals in the world.
