Penkhull Festival of Music and Art

19th to 22nd September 2019

Established in 1966, Penkhull Festival is a classical music and arts festival which takes place in Stoke-on-Trent each September. The festival’s home is the historic Domesday village of Penkhull, surrounded by the rolling countryside of the Staffordshire moorlands. Performers in recent years have included Voces8, Robert Thompson, Swansea Bach Choir, Jocelyn Freeman, Thomas Isherwood, Jonathan Fisher, Miriam Wakeling, Christopher Guild, and Equinox Saxophone Ensemble. In addition to our afternoon and evening concerts, we also have the festival art exhibition, an art competition for local students, separate children’s and adults’ singing workshops, a craft workshop, and a lunchtime concert given by music students from a local school, to which around 100 school pupils are invited to attend free of charge.
