Canterbury Festival

17 October to 31 October

The Canterbury Festival is Kent’s International Arts Festival, one of the most important cultural events in the South East. As an independent charity, the Festival brings a rich mixture of performing arts from around the world to surprise and delight audiences.

The Festival inspires artists to create and perform. It commissions new work. It champions emerging talent and supports those seeking careers in the cultural industries. It adds financial and cultural wealth to the Canterbury District and contributes to the wellbeing of its citizens.

The Festival boasts a Spiegeltent (one of only a handful of original 1920s travelling dance halls) as one of its venues alongside the Marlowe Theatre, Colyer-Fergusson Hall, King’s School and UNESCO heritage site Canterbury Cathedral.
